Lecture Topics & Objectives

Dr. Abdelsalam Elaskary

Clinical management of implant related treatment complications:
the key to optimal intervention

Lecture Description:

Degree in Dentistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela.
Thesis Award of the Autonomous Community of Galicia for Academic
Excellence.
Postgraduate training in Periodontics and Implantology (Madrid),
Occlusion and Temporo-mandibular Dysfunction (Valencia) and
Orthodontics (University of Santiago de Compostela).
International speaker on Periodontics, Aesthetics Dentistry and
Multidisciplinary Treatments.
Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Department of
Prosthodontics at LSUHSC School of Dentistry (New
Orleans, Louisiana, USA).
Founder of MEDA Training Centre, Spain.

Objectives:

Vestibular Socket Therapy Hands-on Workshop:

Proper emergence profile design supports esthetic outcomes and provides favorable biological response to implant-supported restorations.

Following the “Esthetical Biological Contour Concept“ (EBC), the development of natural-looking emergence profiles will comply with the functional, biological, and esthetic requirements with immediately loaded implants and a fully digital workflow.

The impact of a conical connection with integrated platform shift on the emergence profile and 3D positioning of the implant will be equally addressed. All pre-conditions must be considered in order to achieve predictability and long-term stability of the implant.

This content will be explained based on scientific evidence and step-by-step visualization of the treatment protocols that can be implemented in your daily practice.

Dr. Ramon Gómez Meda

Immediate loading and aesthetic results with guided surgery:
from a single case to a FP-1 full arch rehabilitation

Lecture Description:

The goal is to explain the diagnosis and digital protocol along with the prosthetic and periodontal planification, in order to get ideal emergence profiles, avoiding the use of hybrid dentures if possible.

We emphasize the importance of soft tissue grafts to get esthetic and stable results and the efficiency and predictability of the results with the use of digital planning from the diagnosis to the treatment execution.

Objectives:

Hands-on Workshop:

Esthetic biological contour concept proper emergence profile design supports esthetic outcomes and provides favorable biological response to implant-supported restorations.

The impact of a conical connection with integrated platform shift on the emergence profile and 3D positioning of the implant will be equally addressed. All these pre-conditions for the high predictability and long-term stability of the implant facilitate the guided approach, the options of digital data registration and CAD/CAM technologies.

This content will be explained based on scientific evidence and step-by-step visualization of the treatment steps implemented in a daily dental treatment.

Prof. Tiziano Testori

Alternatives to the lateral approach in maxillary sinus elevation:
30 years of clinical experience and research

Lecture Description:

When reconstructing the maxilla in partly or totally edentulous patients, there are some alternative treatments that should be taken into consideration. Insufficient bone volume in the posterior maxilla is not in itself an indication for performing a lateral window maxillary sinus augmentation without considering available alternatives. Careful evaluation of the possible alternatives is mandatory for all patients who, due to general health conditions, pathologies of the maxillary sinus, advanced age, or psychological reasons, cannot undergo invasive surgery. With regards to the clinical condition, there are different treatments that have been proposed as alternatives to lateral window sinus augmentation:

The lecture will address the pros and cons of the different therapeutic alternatives in an evidence based approach.

Objectives:

The lecture will address the pros and cons of the different therapeutic alternatives in an evidence
based approach.

Dr. Robert Stanley

Four cornerstones of implant success

Objectives:

MEET THE SPEAKERS

Prof. Tiziano Testori

He also serves as Assistant Clinical Professor, in the Department of Biomedical, Surgical and Dental Science (Chairman: prof. L. Francetti), University of Milan, Milan, Italy as well as Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine, The University of Michigan, School of Dentistry, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Prof. Testori received his MD degree in 1981, and his DDS degree in 1984, and his specialty in Orthodontics in 1986 from University of Milan, Italy

Dr. Abdelsalam Elaskary

Dr. Abdelsalam Elaskary is the founder of the vestibular socket therapy treatment protocol (VST), the owner of the Elaskary & Associates clinic and educational institute located in Alexandria, Egypt, and he is currently a visiting lecturer at New York University. He is currently the President of the Arab Society of Oral Implantology in Cairo. Dr. Abdelsalam Elaskary has authored three textbooks in the field of Dental Implantology and Oral Reconstruction; all published by John Wiley and translated into several languages. He also authored numerous articles in the field of implant dentistry.

Dr. Robert Stanley

Dr. Robert Stanley’s professional career began as a Mechanical & Aerospace engineer, providing him with a unique ability to master and share his understanding of biomechanics as it applies to dental implants. Dr. Stanley is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. He is now known as The Smile Engineer and practices with his wife Bobbi Stanley in Cary, North Carolina. Dr. Stanley has extensive experience in implant surgery, as well as advanced bone and soft tissue grafting. His implementation of CBCT technology with guided dental implant surgery and guided sinus lift surgery makes planning and placing dental implants predictable and successful. Dr. Stanley is co-founder of the Stanley Institute which provides numerous training courses on grafting and implant placement. He uses his unique background in engineering and dentistry to help dentists painlessly master 3 key components of implantology: planning, placement, and prosthetics.
